It's been a while but we're glad that VBX is now back in the vinyl game. Olsvanger has the honour of starting this next chapter and is a Berlin talent who has already impressed on Craigie Knowes this year. Then and electro collide on this outing with 'Magmastika' laying down base foundations then bringing movement through the rugged arps. 'Omeli Gopel' is more roomy with balmy chords smeared over a widescreen cosmic plane. 'Bright Seen' has Italo hints with its layered, chugging melodies, always feeling like they are descending - or is it ascending? 'Silver Dragons' closes with some deep, punchy electronic house and adventuring melodies that bring a grand architecture.
