Frankel & Harper

This was a very exciting project to see land in the store as Frankel & Harper land on Breaks 'N' Pieces for a colourful display of futuristic breaks action, taking a spoonful of UKG flavour into the mix as they begin to spin. The title track 'Tortilla Flex' is an excellent example of that as bubbling synth pulses and skippy drum textures play a lead role, before 'Hydraulic Temperature' combines fuzzy chord progressions with heavy delay units and another vibrant 2-stepping drum display. We then take in the euphoric synthetic builds and big-room synth melodies of 'Under Pressure' which provides us with the brightest of the EP's creations, before the much more breaks influenced crunches of 'Sessil' throws down a powerful display of grizzly synth drifts and crunchy percussion for the perfect sign off.
